He offered me a blossoming future like an orange- in the palm of his hand

He offered me a blossoming future like an orange- in the palm of his hand

Podawał mi kwitnącą przyszłość jak owoc pomarańczy- na dłoni

we mgłę go wyprawiłam
w deszcz co na rzęsach przysiadł
a opowiadał pięknie
o zakręcie rzeki
i dom rysował paznokciem
na gładkim blacie ulicy
i podawał mi kwitnącą przyszłość
jak owoc pomarańczy- na dłoni

we mgłę go wyprawiłam
w deszcz co na rzęsach przysiadł
samobójczymi kroplami
żeby opaść i zniknąć
wsiąknąć cieczą zieloną
w spragnione ciało trawy
stoję niezmiernie sama
na nagiej obcej ziemi

I sent him off into the fog
into the rain that sat down on the eyelashes
oh he told stories beautifully
about the riverbend
and with a fingernail he sketched his home
on the smooth tabletop of the street
and he offered me a blossoming future
like an orange- in the palm of his hand

I sent him off into the fog
into the rain that sat down on the eyelashes
with suicidal drops
to fall off and disappear
then to soak in as green fluid
into the thirsty body of grass
I stand here immensely alone
in the naked alien land
